As a woman I have never grown out of the dress-up fantasy world of my childhood imagination. As a photographer I have only gotten more in depth and more creative with my subjects, sets, locations, and themes. Every photo shoot is specifically designed with the model's own style, imagination and personality in mind to create a wonderfully original and beautiful portrait of the whole person, not just a generic picture of someone's face.
I specialize in lifestyle and conceptual portraiture which means that anything goes.
Individuals and couples have the freedom of their own imagination for themes from fun to dramatic, current or vintage with many different locations. Families and children are almost always more comfortable and candid in their own surroundings which is why I love to capture the beauty of daily life. Weddings and special events must be booked two months in advance and are priced on a sliding scale to fit individual budgets.
We happen to live in on of the most beautiful areas in the United States if you ask me and I work almost exclusively with natural outdoor or ambient indoor lighting, it makes for a more interesting effect. When it comes to lighting happy accidents will always happen if you open yourself up to them.
I believe that everyone should have portraits that make them feel amazing about themselves and after 8 years of connecting with people through portraiture, I have developed a fascination with finding something in everyone that radiates from within that they may not have known they possessed.
